Material sensitive handling and precise positioning of flexible, semi-finished products and components are key competencies of the production of multi-material systems.

These challenges will be met at the AZL in process chains due to testing of innovative approaches – for example electrostatic gripper by Fraunhofer IPT or the 3D-measurement technology by Laboratory for Machine Tools and Production Engineering. The focus concentrates on the integration of systems. This leads to a significantly faster introduction of new handling and positioning systems in the industry.
